Why I Enjoy Being a Financial Adviser…….

I guess I’m just one of those fortunate people that works in an industry they really enjoy.

Of course being a professional sportsman with the adulation of the crowd and a monstrous salary would be great too, but maybe it’s a little late for such a drastic career change!

The reason why I enjoy being a Financial Adviser so much is the people, and their stories, and the way that the knowledge I’ve gathered after more than 20 years in the financial services industry can help to guide them in making informed decisions and financial plans that WILL help improve their lives.

Everyone’s story is different, whether it’s the professional sportsperson, the teacher, the architect, the policeman, whatever – they come from different backgrounds, they have different responsibilities, different hopes and dreams and different attitudes towards risk and social conscience.

That’s why I enjoy my job, to hear their stories and build a relationship with them and see them achieve their financial dreams. And importantly, that’s also why working with a truly Independent Financial Adviser is so important for YOU and YOUR financial journey.

If everyone’s story is different then how can a financial adviser that isn’t TRULY independent provide you with the best advice that will enable you to realise your dreams.

It’s like a handyman turning up to every job with a toolbox containing a hammer and a few screws – of course he’ll be able to fix certain things, but as soon as the job requires something different, innovative or specialist, he still only has a hammer and a few screws!!!

So the title of this little blog should really read ‘Why I Enjoy Being a TRULY Independent Financial Adviser!”. I can listen to your story, I can research the range of products that will best meet your current needs and your future dreams and we can have an open discussion and develop a suitable plan that is free from the constraints of a limited toolbox.
